Julijev Park, also known as Julius’ Park, is a tranquil green space in the heart of Daruvar, Croatia, and stands as one of the oldest landscaped parks in Continental Croatia. Established in the late 18th century, the park covers 9.5 hectares and is recognized for its historic design, blending baroque and English landscaping styles. Visitors can stroll along tree-lined paths, some shaded by trees over 150 years old, and enjoy a diverse collection of 60 different plant species.

The park’s layout has been carefully preserved, offering a glimpse into the horticultural and cultural values of the era. Among its notable features are several historic buildings, including Anton’s Bath, constructed in 1762 atop Roman foundations, and other structures dating from the 18th to 20th centuries. A small pond with a crane sculpture adds to the park’s peaceful ambiance, and baroque walks invite leisurely exploration.

Julijev Park is open year-round and accessible at all hours, making it a convenient destination for relaxation, recreation, or a quiet break from the town’s bustle. Parking is available nearby, though larger vehicles may find better options across the river. With its blend of natural beauty and historical significance, Julijev Park offers a pleasant setting for both locals and visitors to unwind and appreciate Daruvar’s heritage.
