Veliki Tabor, perched atop Mount Hum Kosnicki in Desinić, is one of Croatia’s most iconic castles and a must-visit for anyone exploring the picturesque Zagorje region. The castle is open from April to October, Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and weekends from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (closed Mondays). Admission is €5 for adults, €4 for children, students, and pensioners, and €10.50 for families, with discounts for groups and free entry for children under three. Parking is available on-site, and photography for personal use is permitted.
